AsbestosDirectoryUK is operated by CDM Marketing Ltd (company number 14010841, registered in England and Wales). This page explains the cookies and similar technologies set when you use the site, why they are used, how long they last, and how to change or withdraw your consent.
We use a small number of technologies to run AsbestosDirectoryUK. Strictly necessary items are required for basic site function and security and are always active. Analytics and advertising cookies are blocked by default until you accept them via the cookie banner, in line with Google Consent Mode v2 — until you grant consent, the analytics and advertising cookies below are not written to your browser.
| Identifier / storage | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration / expiry | Consent required | How to withdraw |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
adu_consentBrowser localStorage (not an HTTP cookie) | AsbestosDirectoryUK (first-party) | Remembers your cookie choice (accepted or rejected) so the consent banner does not reappear on every visit. | Strictly necessary (consent record) | Persists until you clear it or change your choice — no automatic expiry. | Not required (records your consent decision). | Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to re-open the banner and change your choice. |
_gaHTTP cookie | Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes unique visitors to measure how the site is used. | Analytics | 2 years (Google default). | Required — only set after you accept analytics cookies. | Open “Cookie settings” and choose Reject. |
_ga_<container-id>HTTP cookie | Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 | Persists GA4 session state for the specific measurement property. | Analytics | 2 years (Google default). | Required — only set after you accept analytics cookies. | Open “Cookie settings” and choose Reject. |
_gcl_auHTTP cookie | Google LLC — Google Ads / conversion linker (via Google Tag Manager) | Stores ad-click conversion-linker information used to measure ad performance. | Advertising | 90 days (Google default). | Required — only set after you accept advertising cookies. | Open “Cookie settings” and choose Reject. |
__cf_bmHTTP cookie (on challenges.cloudflare.com) | Cloudflare, Inc. — Turnstile bot check | Helps distinguish humans from automated traffic when the anti-abuse widget loads on our enquiry, claim and listing forms. | Strictly necessary (security / anti-abuse) | About 30 minutes (Cloudflare default). | Not required (strictly necessary for security). | Not applicable — required to protect the forms; not used for analytics or advertising. |
Durations marked “Google default” or “Cloudflare default” are the provider's documented defaults, which the provider may change. Google Tag Manager itself loads the tags above and does not set its own cookies. The public site reads directory data through Supabase's anonymous API; because there is no visitor sign-in on the public site, Supabase does not set authentication cookies for public visitors. Cloudflare's challenge platform may set additional strictly-necessary security cookies (for example cf_clearance) per its documented defaults; these are used only for security and anti-abuse, never analytics or advertising.
How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings control in the site footer, which re-opens the consent banner so you can switch between “Accept all” and “Reject”. Rejecting turns off analytics and advertising cookies going forward. You can also delete existing cookies through your browser settings.
For more detail on how we handle the data collected via cookies and forms, see our privacy policy.
