AsbestosDirectoryUK is a UK asbestos directory and enquiry-matching platform. We are not an asbestos contractor and we do not carry out asbestos work ourselves.

Listings and lead opportunities are managed in a separate contractor portal. The portal is invite-only: claiming a listing here does not by itself create a portal account or grant access to any lead data.

Listing tiers on AsbestosDirectoryUK

Every eligible UK asbestos company can appear in the directory for free. Businesses can claim their listing at no charge, subject to review. Premium profiles and Sponsored placements are optional paid visibility upgrades and are not endorsements or credential checks.

Free listing

Default for every listed company.

£0 — free, forever. No VAT charged.

  • Company name, summary, services and coverage shown.
  • Appears in directory, service and location searches.
  • No public phone, email or website displayed. Enquiries route through the quote form.
  • No claimed, verified or recommended badges.

Claimed profile

For contractors who manage their own profile.

£0 — free, subject to successful claim review. No VAT charged. An accepted claim means an authorised representative can manage the listing. It does not mean the company is approved, recommended, licensed, insured or checked for credentials.

  • "Claimed" badge displayed with a tooltip explaining what it means.
  • Edit profile copy, services covered and coverage areas.
  • Submit documents or credential information for review. Individual credentials are shown publicly only where reviewed and approved for display, with relevant dates where available.
  • Claimed does not mean verified, approved, recommended, insured or licensed.

Premium profile

Enhanced public visibility.

£39/month or £390/year. No VAT charged. Cancel any time.

Paid enhanced profile features, including eligible public contact display, richer profile content and portal reporting features. Premium is a paid profile upgrade only. It is not a recommendation, approval or credential check.

  • Public phone, email and clickable website link on your profile when enabled — a clearly-labelled rel="sponsored" link that drives referral click-through traffic from people browsing your listing. It is not sold as an SEO backlink and does not pass ranking signal.
  • Neutral "Premium profile" label on your public profile (no badge on directory cards).
  • Project gallery and richer content on your public profile. Credentials still appear only where individually reviewed and approved for display.
  • Profile view stats in the contractor portal.
  • While your subscription is active: 15 included lead credits per month, 10% off lead unlocks, and profile enquiries routed to you when someone uses "Ask about this listing". Included credits refresh each month and do not roll over — use them within the month. Credits you buy separately never expire.
  • Premium is paid visibility only — not a recommendation, approval or verification.

Sponsored placement

Top-of-page paid placement, includes everything in Premium.

Paid priority or featured placement in eligible positions. Sponsored listings are clearly labelled wherever displayed. Sponsored placement is not a recommendation, approval or credential check.

  • Everything in Premium — public contact details and website link when enabled.
  • Top placement in directory results and on the homepage when slots are live.
  • While your subscription is active: 50 included lead credits per month, 20% off lead unlocks, and the same direct profile enquiry routing as Premium. Included credits refresh each month and do not roll over — use them within the month. Credits you buy separately never expire.
  • Always labelled "Sponsored" with an explainer tooltip.
  • Organic free results are always shown alongside.
  • Sponsored is paid placement only — not an endorsement, recommendation or verification.

How customer enquiries are matched

Every quote request is manually reviewed before any contractor sees contact details. Customers choose how they want their enquiry handled.

Redacted preview first

Before any contact details are released, we may show a redacted summary of the enquiry (for example: service type, town, urgency, property type). Name, full address, phone and email are not included in the preview.

Shared lead

The same enquiry can be unlocked by up to three suitable contractors who match the service and area — the lead is shared between them. The customer is told this before they submit. Volume and competition vary by area and service.

Exclusive lead

When the customer specifically asks for one contractor only (or comes from a specific listing and selects that option), the enquiry goes to a single suitable contractor. Availability depends on customer preference and contractor coverage.

Verified contact details

Verification is optional and customer-driven: after submitting an enquiry a customer can confirm their email and/or phone, and you see a badge in the portal (“Contact verified”, “Email verified”, “Phone verified” or “Unverified”). Verification confirms the customer is contactable on that channel — it does not vet their budget, intent or the job itself, so always do your own due diligence before starting work.

No guaranteed leads or job volumes.

AsbestosDirectoryUK shares relevant enquiry opportunities where a suitable contractor matches the customer's service, area and preference. We do not guarantee how many enquiries you will see, how many contracts you will win, or that any specific customer will respond.

What contractors pay for leads

Listings are priced separately from leads. The listing itself is free (or upgraded to Premium / Sponsored for visibility); customer enquiries are pay-as-you-go on credits so you only spend when an opportunity is right for you.

You only pay when you unlock

Listing is free. You see redacted enquiry previews at no cost. You only spend credits when you decide to unlock a customer's contact details for an enquiry that fits you. No subscriptions on leads — pay as you go.

Pricing per enquiry

Each lead has its own unlock price set by the type of work. Examples (all-in, no VAT): asbestos sample/testing from £10 shared / £35 exclusive, domestic management survey £18 / £55, garage roof removal £30 / £95, commercial management survey £35 / £110, small domestic removal £50 / £160. Larger commercial removal jobs are priced manually. The price you see when an enquiry lands in your feed is the price you pay — it never changes after the offer is made.

Credits and top-ups

One credit = £1, no VAT. Top up in packs from £25 (Trial) up to £500 (Agency). Bigger packs include bonus credits. Buy credits from the contractor portal — purchased credits never expire and sit in your balance until you spend them. The monthly credits included with a Premium or Sponsored subscription are separate: they refresh each month and do not roll over, and they are always spent before your purchased credits.

No VAT charged on any AsbestosDirectoryUK product or lead. We are not VAT registered.

The contractor portal

Lead offers are managed in a separate contractor portal at a different domain. The portal is invite-only: we approve contractors before granting access.

A separate application

The portal is hosted at its own domain, with its own login. It is not part of this public directory site. Customer enquiry data lives only inside the portal and is never exposed on the public site.

Invite-only access

Portal accounts are issued by AsbestosDirectoryUK after a claim is reviewed and approved. Submitting a claim does not by itself create a portal account or guarantee approval. Invites arrive by email.

What contractors do in the portal

Review redacted lead previews, accept or decline leads where coverage matches, manage their profile and contact preferences, and see history of past leads. Public listing content can also be edited from the portal once approved.

How to get started

Find or claim your listing

Search the directory for your company. If it is already listed, submit a claim. If it is not, contact us to be added.

We review the claim

Claims are manually reviewed before any listing access or portal invite is issued. We may ask for evidence of ownership.

Receive a portal invite

Approved contractors receive an email invite to the separate contractor portal where leads and listing edits are managed.

Decide on premium / sponsored

Free claimed listings stay free. Premium (£39/month) gives you public contact display and a richer profile. Sponsored placement (£99/month per slot) lifts you to the top of relevant service or location searches. Both are optional and cancel any time.
